Smash The Entire Season
A new season brings fresh goals and opportunities, but is your body truly ready to perform at its peak? The Pre-Season Tune-Up is designed for active individuals and triathletes of all levels, whether you’re chasing personal bests or racing across any distance. The tune up will help you to move efficiently, and reduce the risk of injury.
Through a series of tests chosen for your body, this personalised assessment will identify any tightness, weakness, or restrictions that could hold you back. You’ll receive up to six targeted exercises to incorporate into your strength and conditioning plan, helping you build resilience, improve movement quality, and maximise performance.
Improve mobility, ease stiffness, and reduce injury risk for season-long, smooth, pain-free training.
Build power, correct imbalances, and boost resilience to perform at your best consistently.
Balance
Enhance coordination, reduce injury risk, and unlock your full athletic potential especially when running.
Stability
Strengthen control and precision to move confidently and stay injury-free all season long.
What is the tune up?
The Pre-Season Tune-Up is designed to uncover any movement restrictions or areas for improvement in your body. It starts with a series of passive movements where you can simply lie down and relax as I assess your mobility and identify any tightness or imbalances. We may also include some strength tests to get a clear picture of how your body is performing. Using the latest VALD technology, I can measure the strength of key joints in newtons, providing accurate, data-driven insights into your current condition. This also allows us to monitor your progress over time with precision. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear plan tailored to improving your movement, strength, and performance—helping you stay strong and injury-free all season long.
Prepare For Your Tune Up
To get the most out of your session, wear shorts or leggings and a comfortable top that lets you move freely. If we’re testing your upper body, a sports bra will be handy for comfort.
You won’t need a water bottle, but staying hydrated beforehand is always a good shout. And don’t worry—this isn’t a sweat session! In fact, I’ll even make you a coffee or a hot chocolate to sip on while I do the hard work of figuring out what’s holding you back. It’ll be like a mini spa day… but with science!
Coming in after a tough training block can help highlight any problem areas, but whether you’re fresh or fatigued, we’ll uncover what needs work and set you up for a successful season.
My Qualifications: Expertise You Can Trust
I qualified in 2021 with the Diploma in Biomechanics Coaching from Biomechanics Education, one of the most respected and in-depth courses in the field. This intensive programme combines cutting-edge research with hands-on application, covering intrinsic biomechanics, movement assessment, and performance optimisation. The course includes rigorous assessments, a practical exam, and a research project, ensuring that every graduate has a deep, evidence-based understanding of movement mechanics. With this gold-standard qualification, I have the expertise to help you move more efficiently, reduce injury risk, and maximise performance.
Please be aware that I cannot perform an assessment on a client experiencing “pain” without them consulting a GP first. Although I am currently training to help and assist with injuries, I am not a clinician and cannot diagnose the cause of pain. It’s always best to seek medical help with the issue first. I am happy to assess other areas of your body as they may be contributing to the pain you’re experiencing, but I will not assess a painful area without a GP report sorry.
