About Jen

Living in Llangollen, I’m a mum of 4 wonderful children and wife to a very patient husband! After severing my ACL in a nasty roller derby collision I realised how much I hated rehab and have devoted my time instead to pre-hab. I weighed in at 19 stone whilst having my 4th child in 2017 and understand the issues many of us have with weight gain and fat loss.

I began running to burn off both the physical and mental weight gained those 9 months and discovered a love for endurance sports in the process. I am a run leader, coach, group triathlon coach and qualified Biomechanics Coach. I am also training for Outlaw Half (70.3) and Outlaw Full (Iron Distance) in 2024.

My drive is to see others succeed, my inspiration is seeing YOU achieve YOUR goal. I like to work out what makes an athlete “tick”, feed and fuel your determination so you achieve your goals and enjoy the journey along the way.
I am a Level 4 Biomechanics Coach and specialise in helping my athletes move well and stay injury free. My plans include movement based work to help improve joint function and enhance performance.

My first triathlon was a GoTri in Autumn 2019. I was hooked immediately so I booked onto the ROC Wales in Abersoch for 2020. Obviously that never happened, but I kept training and completed it in September 2021. It was an amazing and tough day, my goal was to make the cut off up Snowdon, and I was over the moon to be the last athlete through! 

I am currently training for Outlaw Half in Nottingham, 2024.


Races Completed

My personal experience is that i’ve never been a “racer” and my focus has always been on completing the event rather than placing on a podium. My journey has been one of massive weight loss and starting a new sport that I naturally wasn’t particularly very good at! Except cycling, in fairness my one and only cycle race I finished in 3rd place. 

My motto is to be better today than I was tomorrow, growing and challenging myself. It’s not about where I’ve been and what I was, it’s about who I am today and who I will one day become. We are all on different journeys which is what I love about coaching, every athlete has a different history, different strengths and weaknesses, different insecurities, ambitions and also they react physically and psychologically differently to various training techniques.

My goal as a coach is to create a training plan that helps athletes achieve their goals but is enjoyable and makes their hearts sing. If you love your training then you’ll smash every session!


I’m also a huge fan of turbo training indoors throughout the year, but especially in the winter months when it can be safer (and much nicer) to ride indoors!
